The Blog’s primary purpose is to introduce the many aspects of Law Enforcement through the personal experiences of active, retired, or former Law Enforcement individuals in Law Enforcement or Law Enforcement-related fields. Additionally, the Blog will share and attempt to educate those who have never experienced or understood the “inside” workings of Law Enforcement by documenting experiences, knowledge, skills, and methods needed in the law enforcement field. As a result, those with little or no knowledge of the vast scope and depth of the discipline will better understand “What it takes to do the job.”

The Blog will regularly invite those with expertise in a given law enforcement field to write about their area of knowledge in general or a particular aspect of it. The author should write the Blog in their own words and from their experiences. Articles can be about experiences, fond memories, technical aspects of the job, or legal issues. The Blog is interested in your thoughts about the future of Law Enforcement careers.

Blog Contributors should follow the following guidelines:

  • The article must be original
  • A blog is usually 1,000 to 2,000 words – It may be longer
  • The Editors will not edit the article’s content
  • All submissions should be submitted in PDF format

Writing a Blog is fun – Relate experiences – Suggest ideas
